The Skill Shop

Comprehensive classes where individuals can acquire invaluable job search skills in a wide variety of applications. The classes offer individuals an interactive and relaxed atmosphere where they have access to resources and tools that will help them in obtaining and retaining employment on the road to self-sufficiency and career development.

There are weekly presentations from local employers and agencies that will provide a better understanding of interviewing techniques and job retention skills such as communication, teamwork and income budgeting. Some of the resources available include computers for internet access and phones for employer contacts.

Participants will learn to develop a resume and obtain knowledge on writing cover letters, completing applications, accessing the hidden job market and networking to find employment.
