LIMA CITY SCHOOLS ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Adult Education Program consists of several opportunities for the adult students.

The Diploma Program: Adult individuals may pursue a Lima Senior High School Diploma. Classes begin in September ending the second week of May. They run from 4:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Requirements are as follows:

A. Students must successfully complete 21 Carnegie Units
1. Four (4) units of English
2. Three (3) units of Math
3. Two (2) units of Science
4. Three (3) units of Social Studies
5. One-half (1/2) unit of Physical Education
6. One-half (1/2) unit of Health
7. One (1) unit of Business
8. Severn (7) Elective Courses

B. Students must pass all five of the Ohio Proficiencies unless exempted through an IEP or MFE.
1. Writing
2. Reading
3. Math
4. Citizenship
5. Science

C. Payment of fees past and current.
1. Registration
2. Books
3. Tuition if student is 22 yeas of age or older or if the student lives outside of the Lima City School District.
4. Unpaid fees at Lima Senior for former Lima Senior students.

The Tool & Die Apprenticeship: A four-year course sponsored by individual companies for their employees. Classes held at Lima Senior High School.

Human Resource Development: Ninety hours of classes.
